This show will be at the new location (210 sw 2nd Ave- The old Covered Dish location).

COMMON GROUNDS IS MOVING!
Today, Common Grounds signed a long-term lease to occupy the building on SW 2nd Ave downtown that most people still call The Covered Dish. We expect to be very busy in the next few weeks with preparations for the move, but in the meantime, here’s as much info as we can give you at this time.

No shows will be cancelled. We will be operating at our current location up until the moment of the move. We’re hoping for a relatively seamless transition as far as shows go.

We will continue to operate under the name Common Grounds, though some minor behind-the-scenes changes will occur.

We are estimating a September transition date, but bear with us.

We are seeking a liquor license.

For the most part, you can expect a lot of the same thing we’ve always been doing, just with a little more elbow room and maybe something a little stiffer in your glass.

We will keep you posted on the details as we go. We will be moving into this new space as soon as possible, but as with all things, there are MANY hoops we have to jump through in order to get this new thing off the ground. Stay tuned for more info in the coming weeks.

This Wednesday, July 7th, Janet Hicks is having an artshow at Common Grounds beginning at 7 pm. NO COVER for artshow. Karaoke to follow. $3 cover starts at 9pm. Free beer until the first keg blows.

This Bike is a Pipe Bomb will be playing Saturday. June 26th, rather than Sunday, June 27th. The Sunday show has been cancelled. Also, Fridays show has been cancelled. Some come hang out at everyones "favorite place to hang out on a slow night."

Also, Engine Down ? rainer Maria tickets are on sale now. Jay Farrar (of Uncle Tupelo / Son Volt tickets gfo on sale July 1st. The HWM show originaly scheduled for September and posted on HWM's webpage may or may not happen due to Chuck's recent hand injury. We will keep everyone posted about the status of this show and when / if tickets go on sale.
